The Brasserie of Monaco, a New Type of Micro-Brewery
The Brasserie of Monaco , originally founded in 1905 at the instigation of Prince Albert I, reopened in August 2008 on the shores of Monaco’s yacht-filled harbor. The Brasserie recently teamed up with the world’s oldest brewery equipment manufacturer, the German company, Kaspar Schulz (in business since 1677) and the result is a 264 gallon boutique brewery. Five stainless steel fermenting tanks and four service tanks, located in the main area of the venue making up the Brasserie’s décor, and an innovative, entirely automated brewing system take the brew master’s hand-selected organic malts to produce a delicious, authentic local beer. With its contemporary bar mixing aluminum and unfinished wood, modern furniture, use of glass playing with reflections, and giant screens, the Brasserie of Monaco offers a new type of micro-brewery combining modern design and technology. The Brasserie of Monaco can be privatized any day of the week. The indoor space can accommodate 200 people for a sit-down dinner and 400 people for a cocktail reception. The indoor space combined with the terrace, overlooking the harbor and the Prince’s Palace, can accommodate 450 people for a sit-down dinner and 1,000 people for a cocktail reception.
